Good recommendations deserve a better home

Keep the picks, the order, and the “why you’ll love it” together. Right where you’ll find them.

Their picks. Their order.
Friends search for films and drag them into a ranked lineup. You know which one they want you to watch first.
The reason to press play
Every pick has room for a personal note. A favorite scene, a heads-up, or a simple “this made me think of you.”
One place to start
Once two friends have unwatched picks, their lineups blend into top picks. Films they both rank highly rise to the top.
Make room for the next one
Mark a movie watched as you go. Your top picks update, and friends can see what you’ve already seen.

A few things you might be wondering

Do I need a Letterboxd account?

No. You can create an account, share your profile, and start getting recommendations right away. Importing from Letterboxd is optional, and you can add watched movies directly in Reel Lineup.

How does the Letterboxd import work?

Export your data from Letterboxd’s Settings → Data page, then upload the ZIP to Reel Lineup. We bring in your watched films and watchlist and help you review any films that don’t match. You can also upload watched.csv on its own.

Do my friends need an account?

Yes. Friends sign in to build a lineup for you. Their picks and notes stay together, and they can come back to change the order or add something new.

How are my top picks chosen?

When at least two friends have movies you haven’t watched, we combine their rankings. Movies recommended by several friends, especially near the top of their lineups, get more weight. You can still browse every friend’s original lineup.

Can I watch movies on Reel Lineup?

Reel Lineup helps you choose what to watch. When you find your next film, watch it on your preferred streaming service or wherever it’s available, then mark it watched here.
